Copycat is a about copying someone. Here is the story about Billie (yellow cat) and actual copycat (red cat). Copycat crossed the line and now he's in the Billie's world - weird unpredictable imagination where everything that Billie wants is possible. Everything here (but the music) was done by me, i streamed about 24hours of the entire process and everything took about 35 hours in total.

Tons of 2D FX, smooth animations, some ambitious parts here and there but more importantly its just me having fun.

1st verse started with police car flashing the screen. kind of a crime scene where i introduces cat tail morphing from the character hand at the end.

2nd verse is full of special effects. Probably the most ambitious part with so much physics involved in the effects such as rotating coin, fire and glass with water. The last one was challenging :)

In the pre-chorus i started introducing the characters and what i teased in 1st verse with hand and tail. Now we can see Billie as yellow cat and Copycat as the red one. Challenging transitions with some pre-build yellow cat face based on deformers. 

I'm super happy with this part! 

Chorus was full of reuses and looped animations. With so much time i saved here, the result didn't lost quality, still keeping up. Red cat is falling down swallowed in Billie's nightmare. A little splash at the end to break that reuses and loops.

in 3rd verse i was just playing around with typography and graphics. Story was already told so i could just play around. Some small special effects as loops and frame by frame typography animation.

For the bridge i build entire scene with pine trees rotating around the "globe".
Red cat inside his nightmare was running away from Billie and that was the last part of the story.

This video was entirely based on the lyrics, but in case to stitch everything together, a little story was needed so here we have cats! Nice word play for sure, but whats more important just a little moral story within this animation.
